UMAR MUSTAPHA KUMSHE
Umar Mustapha Kumshe holds a Masters in Industrial Labour Relations from the University of Maiduguri and a Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from Kaduna Polytechnic. His career spans over several decades, and he is a member of prestigious organizations such as the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, London. His skills are centered around procurement, materials management, and capacity requirement planning.
Kumshe’s political journey includes being a founding member and first National Chairman of KOWA Party and involvement with the Inter Party Advisory Council and Coalition of Progressive Political Parties. He has served in various political roles, including as a gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, and as an elected member of the House of Representatives. His leadership extended to the presidency of Patriotic Electoral Alliance of Nigeria, advocating for electoral reforms and political alliances for credible leadership.
In addition to his political and professional work, Kumshe has vast consultancy experience, particularly in procurement, project implementation, and corporate relations. His consultancy work includes projects for the National Electric Power Authority, DSD Nigeria Ltd, and Afriqiyya Airlines. He is also deeply involved in social and community services, particularly in education, humanitarian aid for IDPs, and religious leadership, notably with the Sultan Foundation for Peace and Development in the Northeast.
